I recognized this vocal right away, but was puzzled as to why I it's familiar. After doing a bit of research I found out the original is a down-tempo release from 2006. I don't recognize it's sound though...hmmm. At any rate, Andre Lodemann's remix is pure heaven delight. Supa fire. Simply Amazing.

DJ Spiller “(Groovejet) When The Beats”
I'm taking you back about 10 years with DJ Spiller "(Groovejet) When The Beats". The first time I heard this I was living in London in 2000. My favorite party at that time was a Sunday night @ the legendary club, The Cross. It as my favorite night for a few reasons:
1. Great acoustics and great sound
2. Amazing DJ's!
3. Really fun crowd.
The Cross is no longer around, but maaaaaan, I had several spiritual/dancing experiences there. I forget the name of the Sunday nite party, but it was all Italian. Italian DJ's playing the best deep-techy stuff (and of course the occasional funky tune like this one for good measure), Italian promoters and lot's of Italian women. Yesssss.

Kaiserdisco “Carambolo”
My favorite artist of the past 6 months or so is Kaiserdisco. By far! Frederic and Patrick from Hamburg make the duo, and the duo is bangin drum-heavy, techno sounding, dancefloor shakin', I can't stop dancing music.

ELEKTRONIKAL RHYTHMS – PSUEDO (tech-house mix)
I've been bangin out a ton of dope tribal and techno tracks in my sets lately. This one breaks up the drums a bit with a very sultry and deep melody. "Psuedo" will totally lose the dancefloor if not used carefully. It will, however, create complete ecstasy if used at just the right time. MMMMMMMMM.

Girl Unit “IRL”
It's labeled techno on Beatport, but this sound has dubstep written all over it. But really, who cares what it's called? I'm fascinated with "IRL" - I haven't heard anything like it before. Simply Amazing!

Francisco Allendes & Felipe Venegas “Espiritu” – Alexi Delano Remix
Alexi Delano is playing in Houston this Saturday, June 12, 2010 @ the ever consistent Rekliner party organized by Henry Chow & Sasha Braverman. This night will be very special for 2 big reasons:
1. Alexi Delano is awesome
2. This months' Rekliner party is at Houston's newest and coolest EDM club, FWD.
I heard Alexi at this years' WMC in the techno loft @ Space. He was spectacular! That being said, I'm bummed I'll be missing this show (gig in San Antonio Saturday).
Alexi's remix of "Espiritu" has been one of my top "go to" tracks of the year. It was released in January, and although he's released a bag of EP's and remixes since then that I play, this one is simply amazing.
