Joy Orbison “Wet Look”

I'm on the hunt for new dubstep tunes, as I so amped about my upcoming gig with Grommit at the famous "Heavyweight" party on November 6 at Plush in Austin, TX.  As usual, I shop and shop and shop for dubstep and find just a couple of tunes per 2 hours of shopping.  I think the fact that I'm not listening to the music on a big system has a lot to do with my intricate selection.

I haven't heard many dubstep tunes quite like "Wet Look".  It's got that classic Korg synth sound for the lead and a sultry, yet energetic vibe.  Will this work in the club when we're all drunk and the party is hoppin?  I think so, as long as I lead into it just right.

I'm so proud my 2 friends Sleazy McQueen and Kink.  This tune shows why and is also perfect for the Halloween season.  Viva Sleazy and Kink!

Dominic Martin “Insulin”

So Sound Recordings has been on fire lately with releases by Christian Malloni and now Dominic Martin.  Thanks to my good buddy Fabian aka Jazzy Eyewear for doing a great job developing such a top label.

This tune "Insulin" is pure gold in my opinion.  It's deep, it's sexy, it's driving, it's moody, it's big room, it's small room, and it's pretty much amazing.

Fagget Fairys “Uzela”

First off, isn't the proper spelling of Fagget, Faggot?  Hahahah.  The vocal on "Uzela" reminds me of a Brasilian style of rappin....so where is this chic from?  Denmark!  Is she rappin in Danish?  Must be...The beat is tougher than bad beef jerky and the bass is stoopid sick.  Nice job Faggetfairys !

Tiga “Beep Beep Beep” (Punks Jump Up Remix)

My first date with Tiga was back in 2004 with his "Pleasure From the Bass" record.  This was probably my first dance with electro, although the record is almost pure acid.  I remember playing it regularly, for about a year and it worked like a charm!  I'm equally as happy with Tiga's new stuff, especially this Punks Jump Up Remix

Atjazz & Domu feat Yannah Valdevit “Info People (Ads Bruk Mush Remix)”

It's been quite a while since I've picked up an Atjazz track!  Martin Iveson is a UK based video game composer who also writes deep house, hip-hop and jazz music.  He adopted the name Atjazz in 1996.  This broken beat remix will fit nicely in deep house sets, or mix tape's for the car.  I love the wobbly bass and sultry melody.

Darren Emerson “Home”

Former Underworld member Darren Emerson has been in this music game since he was a teenie bopper (1987 was his first dj gig) and shows no signs of slowing down.  Although I have yet to see him perform live,  everyone I talk to says that Darren Emerson's dj'ing is the shit.  After hearing "Home", I can definitely say that I'm a huge fan and I will be playing this track a LOT. This track is big, really big.  It's clearly not 'crossover' big, but I am excited to hear it on a club system.  Thanks Darren!
