Lovebirds is the solo project of Hamburg resident Sebastian 'Basti' Doering. You know Sebastian's work as 1/2 of of the amazing production team Knee Deep. When it comes to outstanding deep house, it doesn't get any better than this. Driving beats and sultry melodies that make you move, no sleep; Sebastian is the man. I've been buying Knee Deep records for years, and I'm totally amped to open for him tomorrow nite for the Grand Opening party of Houston's new house and techno club , FWD.

Anytime I see Ian Pooley's name, I take a listen. I was browsing through Fred Everything's recent Beatport Chart and found this lovely deep house track. Shades of Gray from Beef Records have been on quite a rising lately. Sweeeeet.

Maetrik “Bottom Heavy”
Dallas, TX native Eric Estornel aka "Maetrik" has been on fire lately with releases on Triebstoff, Morris Audio, Immigrant and many more. Now based in Valencia, Spain Maetrik's sound has become even fatter, more precise and down-right nasty. Maetrik's success is an example of yet another dj/producer from the early to mid 90's rave scene in Dallas that has gone on to be one of the top artists in the world. This era in Dallas was a time of "whatever goes" and was led by infamous production crews such as Hazy Daze and True Family. I must say, I feel quite fortunate to have been introduced to dance music in a place and time where there were no rules and the mainstream cultural attitudes were of no concern to any of us. P.L.U.R. - Peace Love Unity Respect. 'Nuff said.

Oh boy, this one is slammin. I wanna call it funky techno, but it's really not funky. There is something special about this track that's hard to put into words. I do know this, "Gossips" is gonna work like a charm on the dancefloor. Here I come San Antonio, this Friday is gonna be NUTZ.
Tim Roscoe (http://timroscoe.nl) is from the Netherlands and appears to be a new producer. I'm very excited to hear what he turns out next.

Lovebirds is Basti Doering, 1/2 of Knee Deep. Ummmm, yea can you say DEEP? One of my big inspirations, Kink (Bulgaria), has transformed himself into an A-list producer and remixer in the past few years. Not only is Kink a top-notch guy in person, he has risen to the top after much hard work and persistence. Check his tracks and remixes on Ovum, Trapez, Kolour, Uniform and more.
