I recognized this vocal right away, but was puzzled as to why I it's familiar. After doing a bit of research I found out the original is a down-tempo release from 2006. I don't recognize it's sound though...hmmm. At any rate, Andre Lodemann's remix is pure heaven delight. Supa fire. Simply Amazing.

March 31, 2010 @ Rich's. Spettro competing in the Red Bull Thre3 Style DJ Competition. Other contestants were some of Houston's top party rocking DJ's: Kyle Berg, DJ Bizz, Baby Jae, Johnny J, Flash Gordon, DJ Ebonix, GT aka GT Mayne. The energy between all of us dj's was electric! Although we were competitors, we routed each other on like family. 1st place went to Baby Jae.

I put this heater from Britain's great Mike Monday on my upcoming Uniform Sessions Vol. 1 mixtape, and for good reason. This track works like a charm on the big floor and the small bar. Percussion is hot as hell and the melody is deep, yet driving. Love love love this tune.

This is the 1st release from the classic Ibadan Records (est. 1995, NYC) that I've bought in ages. When I think of Ibaden, I think of Kerri Chandler - that says a lot. I've been scooping up Greece's Nikola Gala's tracks for years now. This guy is one to put on your watch list. Same thing applies with Germany's Jerome Sydenham.
